TRAINING PROGRAMS

We specialize in training Youth and Adult Amateur riding horses in all disciplines. STTS will provide excellent starting services for young prospects 3 years of age and up. We start from scratch in the round pen, introducing the bridle and long lines before mounting. We encourage our youngsters to be relaxed and to enjoy the training process so they strive to be an excellent riding partner. We also work with older horses that need a refresher. Whether you ride Dressage, Hunter/Jumper or Western Disciplines, your horse will understand the riders seat and leg. Included in our training: Clipping, Cross-Tie, Bathing, Loading, Hot Walker, Trail Riding, Traffic and Farrier.

RIDING ACADEMY / WORKSHOPS

We provide excellent lessons in Horsemanship, Hunter/Jumper, and Western disciplines such as Pleasure and Gymkhana. Our program is designed around safety and disciplined fun! Learn how to be one with your riding partner!!

Learn how to:

- Use your body language and be organized while longing on the line.
- Choose the correct tack for your horse, including humane tacking up procedures.
- Ride safely in the arena during group lessons, including etiquette in the show ring.
- Ride safely on the trail, including etiquette on group trail rides.
- Safely bathe and groom your horse, including clipping.
- Safely load/unload your horse into a trailer, including driving practices for those who drive.
- Ride from a balanced seat and leg in all disciplines including Hunter/Jumper, Western Pleasure, and Gymkhana.

We believe in “Graduation,” and encourage our students to practice each lesson by giving them homework in between lessons. This is now possible by leasing your lesson horse!

All school horses are available for Lease on less otherwise noted. We are also looking for Sponsors for each horse. If you are interested in helping out by providing a donation to your favorite horse, please call 619-517-8433.

LEASING INFORMATION
Our leasing program is a great way to experience horse ownership! We recommend that our students lease a horse prior to purchasing a horse to assure that they are up for the responsibility of owning a horse. All leases include board, feed, farrier, vet and other special care. At least 1 lesson per week is required.

Show Lease or 1/2 Lease ~ $325 per month (Includes up to 2 lessons per week!)

	Monique: Irish Sport Horse Mare, 16hh. This is a wonderful mare that is very well broke and safe. She is suitable for beginners-advanced riders and is suitable for low jumping and dressage up to 2nd level. Monique is an honest horse that loves company and showing. She is a dream to ride, and we call her the "cadillac" of the barn! MONIQUE IS AVAILABLE FOR SHOW LEASE.
	Dr. Pepper : American Paint Pony, 13.2hh. This adorable pony is super easy to ride, gentle on the ground and has very smooth gaits. He is a blast to jump, and enjoys the trails. Pepper is well trained and is a star in our program! Pepper is not currently available for lease.
	Shotgun: Anglo-Arab, 15.2hh. This is a wonderful aged gelding that has done it all. He is super teacher, and really enjoys the trail. He now offered as a trail lesson horse, or for walk-trot only with the beginners. He is an amazing trail horse, and now that he has earned his keep for years, we would like to offer him to a great person for lease. SHOTGUN IS AVAILABLE FOR 1/2 LEASE FOR $200 PER MONTH.
	Navir: Arabian Gelding, 16hh. Navir is an amazing little gelding that has won the hearts of everyone that rides him. He is suitable for all arena's, is great over fences, and easy to ride. He has smooth gaits and really enjoys his company. Navir is currently being leased by the Meyer Family.
	Tortuga: Moriesian Mare, 15.1hh. Tuga is a fun mare that loves to jump and do things. She is easy to ride and enjoys the trail. Tuga has a ton of personality and really enjoys the teenagers. She loves to show, and would love to find an amiable rider to earn ribbons with! TORTUGA IS AVAILABLE FOR SHOW or 1/2 LEASE.
	Tia Maria : Appendix Mare, 16hh. Tia is one of the sweetest mares in the barn. She is super easy to ride for an intermediate rider. She has super smooth gaits, and really enjoys lessons and showing. Tia would love to find a quiet teenager to ride and show her in 2010. TIA IS AVAILABLE FOR SHOW or 1/2 LEASE.
	Corolan: Holsteiner Gelding, 17hh. Cory is a seasoned show horse with many championships under his belt. He is patient and kind, and enjoys doing lessons. Cory also enjoys the trails, and would love to find a rider that would enjoys a few times a week. COROLAN IS AVAILABLE FOR 1/2 LEASE AND FOR SALE.
	Bay: Mustang Mare, 14.3hh. Bay is a beautiful mare and is fun to ride. She goes both english and western, and even likes to jump. Bay is also offered for sale or lease. BAY IS AVAILABLE FOR 1/2 LEASE AND FOR SALE.
	Belle: Percheron Cross mare, 15hh. Belle is a great trail horse and enjoys a confident rider. She is available for trail lessons, and is calm and easy going. She is absolutly beautiful, and loves to be groomed. BELLE IS AVAILABLE FOR 1/2 LEASE AND FOR SALE.
